This information is provided pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”) to inform you of the methods of processing of your personal data that you provide or have provided by filling in the on-line form on this website to apply for a job within the Matec Industries S.p.A. organisation.

Purposes of the treatment:
The personal data that will be requested from you and will be processed are necessary to correctly assess your employment profile in order to be able to submit you, or not, a job offer.
Your data will therefore be used for the purpose of assessing you with regard to open job positions, recruiting activities and job interviews.

Special categories of personal data that may be requested from you
You will be asked to provide personal data such as name, surname, age, gender, residence, personal e-mail, telephone number, other addresses and/or contact details, education and professional experience.
You will also be asked to send or upload your CV.
Pursuant to Articles 9 and 10 of the GDPR, we wish to inform you that by uploading your curriculum vitae, you may provide data qualifying as “special categories of personal data”, also known as sensitive data (i.e. data revealing “racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership…genetic data, biometric data intended to uniquely identify a natural person, data concerning the health or sex life or sexual orientation of the person”).
Such sensitive data may only be processed with your specific prior consent.

Nature of the provision of data
We would like to point out that the provision of your personal data is necessary in order to assess your profile.
Any refusal to provide such data will make it impossible to assess your profile in order to establish a working relationship with Matec Industries.
Contrary to the above, the provision of any sensitive data is not compulsory except for some limited cases for which such data may be necessary (i.e.: job offers relating to “Protected Categories” etc…). For such specific job opportunities, therefore, where the requested sensitive data are not included, we will have no choice but to disregard your CV.

Legal Basis of Processing and Consent Request
The legal basis of the processing is your free consent.
In view of the above, and given the purpose and nature of the processing, we feel we must ask you for your specific consent to the processing of your personal data.
In this sense, after having read this information notice you may consent or not to the proposed processing in a specific section.
We remind you that whether or not you consent to the processing of your personal data may affect the possibility of being able to assess your profile, due to the specific job opportunity that is open, all in accordance with what is better indicated in the previous paragraph.

Processing methods and storage time
The processing will be carried out in automated and/or manual form, in compliance with the security measures set out in Article 32 of the GDPR, by specially appointed persons, in accordance with the provisions of Article 29 GDPR.
We would like to inform you that, in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation and data minimisation, pursuant to art. 5 GDPR, the storage period for your personal data is set at no more than 180 days, a period that we believe to be reasonable for us to be able to carry out an assessment.
After the aforementioned 180 days, your data will be deleted. If you wish to apply for a new position within our staff, you will have to provide your data again.

Scope of communication and dissemination
The data collected will not be disseminated and will not be communicated without your explicit consent, except for communications necessary for the evaluation of the candidate, for any administrative practices in case of recruitment and for the fulfillment of legal obligations, which may involve the transfer of data to public bodies and professionals or companies of a private nature (employment consultants, accountants, etc. ….).

Transfer of personal data
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties and in any case will be stored in servers located within the European borders.

Rights of the data subject
At any time, pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, you may exercise your right to:

  1. request confirmation of the existence or otherwise of your personal data;
  2. obtain information about the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be communicated and, where possible, the storage period;
  3. to obtain the rectification and erasure of data
  4. obtain the restriction of processing;
  5. obtain the portability of the data, i.e. receive them from Matec Industries, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and transmit them to another data controller without hindrance;
  6. to object to the processing and also in the case of processing for direct marketing purposes;
  7. withdraw consent to the processing of the data provided
  8. to oppose automated decision-making concerning natural persons, including profiling
  9. lodge a complaint with the Privacy Guarantor or other competent supervisory authority.
